Hey Nintendo! I figure there’s a chance I hear from your lawyers because of this project. And I just wanted to say: If I’m hearing from ya, I hope that it is to work together to get these mixes on Nintendo Music! You’ve got an awesome platform that currently isn’t being used to its fullest potential, and I think these mixes truly have the potential to attract an audience that currently doesn’t have the representation in gaming that they deserve.

I’m not making a dime off this project. It’s purely made from my love of music and everything Mario Kart. For my entire life, the world, colors, and music of Mario Kart have inspired me. I have memories of exploring tracks in Mario Kart 64’s Time Trials as a toddler, playing Mario Kart DS’ Mission Mode on long car rides, the E3 Announcement of Mario Kart 7 with its reveal of gliders and underwater driving, listening to the Mario Kart Wii soundtrack as I did homework in middle school, and of course, over a decade of loving the branding, attention to detail, and music of Mario Kart 8 (On the Wii U, and then again on the Switch!). You can’t even begin to imagine the nerd explosion I had finding out Mario Kart World had over 200 songs…

I hope that my love for Nintendo and Mario Kart truly shines through with my work here, and I hope that you are able to see the value of what I’ve made with that adoration. It’d mean the world to release officially with Nintendo: I’m not able to on my own, but together we could have the resources to get these samples cleared for proper release and make an impact on pop culture and its various intersections.
